AACN Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO) Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO) focuses on the fundamentals, providing the theoretical foundation necessary to care for critically ill patients. First released in 2002
and in use by more than 700 hospitals in the United States and Canada, this course should be a part of every new critical care nurse's orientation.
In the latest version of ECCO, nurses will find the content they have come to count on, as well as more interactivity, more case studies and more critical thinking exercises.
ECCO includes 10 learning modules, organized using a body systems approach. Modules are comprised of multiple lessons that provide in-depth, interactive content with rich graphics and illustrations that keep learners engaged. Body system modules include a detailed review of anatomy and physiology. The course provides a total of 69 hours of CNE credit.
