AACN Essentials of Nurse Manager Orientation Every day in hospitals across the country, nurse managers help create healthy work environments that attract and retain competent and caring nurses. Specific titles
vary, but every nurse manager assures that care standards are followed and technology is used correctly in financially sound clinical units. How nurse managers learn to carry
out these complex responsibilities directly affects the quality of patient and family care.
Modeled after the Nurse Manager Learning Domain Framework, Essentials of Nurse Manager Orientation is a comprehensive course for frontline managers, charge nurses, aspiring managers and leadership staff. Experienced managers can use these modules to refresh their knowledge or fill knowledge gaps.
Developed through a landmark partnership between the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) and the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE), the course was developed by experts in nurse management and covers key skills necessary for successful leadership.
For learner and educator convenience, Essentials of Nurse Manager Orientation can be accessed anytime, any place, offering an affordable training solution addressing the real issues nurse managers face. The complete program offers 40 hours of CNE credit, and is now available to individual users. It’s also an effective preparation resource for the Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML) certification, provided through the AONE/AACN partnership.
