After completing this course, the learner should be able to: Describe the risk factors associated with child abuse. Describe the various forms of child sexual abuse. Identify signs/symptoms and key behaviors associated with child sexual abuse. Identify behaviors in both children and caretakers that indicate that sexual abuse may be taking place. Describe which circumstances and signs would warrant a report of suspected sexual abuse to child protective services. Explain the basic steps to take in reporting suspected sexual abuse to child protective services.
