This is the first of three programs on fall prevention that can help you and your institution meet the Joint Commission's National Patient Safety Goals. This program will cover the importance of making a risk assessment for each person in care, and a risk assessment of the environment at the facility. The purpose of this program is to provide nurses an understanding of who is at risk for trips and falls in a healthcare facility, and which elements in the environment also put patients at increased risk for falls. |
