CNE0243 - Wound Care: Phases of Healing and Types of Wounds

Wounds can be acute in nature, or they can be chronic. From almost the instant a wound occurs, the body begins the incredibly complex process of restoring tissue integrity. The healthcare professional must provide the appropriate assistance to the body in making its repairs. In this activity, we will discuss the physiological phases of wound healing and the different types of wounds. The purpose of this program is to provide nurses and others an understanding of the physiological phases of wound healing and the different types of wounds.
