In the United States, we speak of the "graying of America," referring to the growing number of older adults. In this course, we will address issues related to the demographics of the older adult population in the US, attitudes and stereotypes toward older adults, various theories on aging, federal laws relevant to care for older adults, and certain ethical issues in regard to care for older adults. |
