The HCCS HIPAA Compliance for Business Associates (BAs) course provides essential, interactive education about the secure handling of all protected health information (PHI) by Business Associates.
Business Associates are people or entities that perform certain functions or activities involving the use or disclosure of PHI, on behalf of, or while providing services to, a covered entity, such as a hospital, health plan, clearinghouse or other healthcare provider. Business Associate services include legal, actuarial, accounting, consulting, data aggregation, management, administrative, accreditation, and financial.
The interactive learning environment enables every participant to understand the nature of his/her obligation when handling PHI, thereby reducing risk and liability. Upon completion of this HCCS training course, HCCS can provide a statement of training completion to covered entities.
