CNE0113 - Aging: The Natural Process

This program describes changes that occur in the human body during the aging process. The material is organized around the following categories: Introduction Cardiovascular System Respiratory System Musculoskeletal System Central Nervous System Gastrointestinal System Genitourinary System The Integumentary System Body Temperature Vision Hearing Emotions In addition to describing the natural changes of aging, some disease conditions that are common among the elderly, such as glaucoma, are also explained. Suggested interventions and responses to both natural changes and signs of disease conditions are presented, when applicable. For example, position changes and stimulating circulation through exercise are presented as ways to prevent the development of pressure sores.
