LTC0006 - Controlling Violence in Healthcare (NAB-NCERS Approval #: 112008-18876-1-SS)The threat of violence is an important safety issue in all healthcare settings including a high stress emergency department. Both staff and patients may be at risk. Learning how to protect yourself, other staff, and patients from violence while also providing care is an ongoing process. The purpose of this program is to provide nurses with an understanding of how to spot warning signs of impending violence and how to take action to prevent it. |
