This module is designed to help you master the competencies required for successful patient preparation. It will also help you to prepare for and anticipate the surgical needs for a Pyloromyotomy procedure. After completing this module, you should be able to do the following:
- Identify the instrumentation and equipment for the surgical procedure.
- Understand the sequence of events for the specific surgical intervention.
- Anticipate the surgeon's instrument and equipment needs during the surgical procedure.
- Identify the location of the pyloric sphincter.
- Prepare the OR and warm the environment for an infant having a pyloromyotomy.
