ORC0014 - Total Quality Management

Upon completion of the module, the learner will be able to: Define Total Quality Management (TQM). Identify Dr. W. Edwards Deming and his relationship to quality leadership and TQM. State a minimum of five differences between TQM thinking and traditional thinking. Describe the relationship between TQM and Quality Improvement (QI) and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI). Identify the difference between QI and Quality Assurance (QA). State a minimum of seven of Deming's fourteen points. Distinguish between the 85/15 rule and the 80/20 rule (Pareto principle). Define the following roles: facilitator, timekeeper, scribe. Distinguish between the guidance team and the project team. Describe the significance of group dynamics in TQM. Explain PDCA.
