This module is designed to help you master the competencies required for successful patient preparation. It will also help you to prepare for and anticipate the surgical needs for a Transurethral Resection of the Prostate (TURP) and a Transurethral Resection of a Bladder Tumor (TURB). After completing this module, you should be able to do the following:
- Identify the instrumentation and equipment for the surgical procedures.
- Understand the sequence of events for the specific surgical intervention.
- Anticipate the surgeon's instrument and equipment needs during the surgical procedures.
- Hang the appropriate solution to instill into the bladder during the procedure.
