JERICHO NY USA -- MEDICAL PRESS RELEASE -- FEB 22 2005 -- Health Care
Compliance Strategies, Inc. (HCCS), the leading provider of online
multimedia healthcare compliance and competency training courses, today
announced that Kaiser Permanente, the leading integrated health plan, has
selected HCCS compliance and HIPAA training courseware to educate its
staff enterprise-wide.
"We understand the difficulty of educating a large, distributed,
multi-shift workforce with varied learning requirements. This
comprehensive training solution provides such an organization with the
ability to meet that challenge," says Mitchell Diamond, President of
HCCS.
Kaiser Permanente staff members will have access to the HCCS courses,
"Fraud Awareness: Professional Compliance," "Fraud Awareness: Corporate
Compliance" and "HIPAA Compliance." The courseware will be directed to
over 150,000 Kaiser Permanente staff members nationwide. In addition,
HCCS will provide several blended learning tools, such as classroom
toolkits (complete instructor led presentation with integrated multimedia
scenarios) and videotapes to complement the online learning.
The online Internet/Intranet HCCS courseware provides general and
detailed education on a wide range of critical regulatory topics that
staff members are required to understand. The information is presented in
a series of short, entertaining modules. A combination of multimedia
scenarios, audio, text and interactive exercises engage the viewer,
adding learner participation to the experience.
Clients using HCCS' computer-based training receive automated updates to
the courses, whenever regulations, documents, legal rulings, settlements
and other new information becomes available. The HCCS content is
job-function specific, fully customizable and automatically updated.
Comprehensive management reports are provided.
HCCS' multimedia compliance training programs are designed to educate
physicians and employees in hospitals, health systems and health plans.
Other courses in the Compliance Library include the following
multi-course suites: "Research Compliance Suite" and "Accreditation
