Sexual Harassment Prevention
Sexual harassment has been identified as a major challenge facing
health care systems today. The reasons for this vary but research
indicates that health systems experience an especially high rate of
sexual harassment incidents. In one large survey almost 48 percent
of all women physicians reported having experienced gender-based
harassment, and 37 percent reported sexual harassment.
Strong new and existing laws, lead by California, require education for
all staff and management to understand what sexual harassment is and how
to prevent it from occurring. The risk is great and facilities need to
have a comprehensive education program in place. This interactive,
multimedia courseware contains healthcare specific scenarios and situations
that ever healthcare worker will relate to.
